The one thing worth getting out of bed for in the morning? Coffee.
Sometimes, I enjoy the thought of coffee—the aroma, the anticipation—even more than drinking it. Choosing the perfect morning fix: the homemade kind, brewed exactly to my taste, or the café version, served with a mountain of whipped cream rising like the Himalayas? Today, I go with the second option.
I step into a small café. The familiar scent of roasted beans wraps around me like a warm blanket. I take a seat at the counter, expecting the usual, but then—something unexpected happens.
“Good morning! How can we make your day better today?”
The barista grins like he’s just been given the most important mission of his life—to sell me the most exciting cup of coffee ever.
“Great choice! Now tell me—do you need a coffee that hits you like a lightning bolt, or one that gently pulls you from your dreams, like a soft morning breeze?”
I look at him. I smile. Copywriter. He must be a copywriter.
“Hmm… let’s go with a longer coffee, more whipped cream. I need a slow, painless transition into reality.“
“Perfect choice! And what if I told you we have something new? Our latest creation—Truffle Noir, coffee infused with black truffles. Imagine a rich, velvety brew with hints of earthy mystery, delicatenutty notes, and a finish that lingers like the longest, most beautiful dream.“
Okay. Now he has my attention.
“Truffles and coffee? That sounds… unusual. You’re not selling unicorns too, are you?”
“Oh, absolutely! Every cup comes with one—on a chocolate square.”
I laugh and accept the challenge. If I can’t change the gloomy weather outside, at least I can change the flavorof my coffee.
First sip. Then another. Bold, deep, unexpected. And—actually, unbelievably good.
Maybe copywriters really should rule the world.
